Girl’s night out
The Friday after Mother’s Day Princess decided to take me out on the town for Mother’s Day. I asked Hubby if he put her up to it and he said that it was all her idea. I just love that girl!
She was going to try to get us in for manicures and all that pretty stuff but no one was open late enough. But we still had a rip roaring good time.
First we went to Camille’s which is the cutest, yummiest little cafe. We had sandwiches and were very upset to learn they didn’t have their Snicker Cheesecake. Oh well. And because we’re dummies we didn’t get any pictures of us eating. I KNOW! What kind of blogger am I?
After Camille’s Princess took me on a surprise journey! I usually can figure out where we’re going and stuff but she had me fooled until we pulled into the parking lot. It’s this place called Color Me Mine and you get to paint something and then they fire it and it looks absolutely amazing. And guess what? We forgot to take pictures of us painting! I KNOW!
Lucky you, I do have some pictures of the finished product.
After our painting fun Princess wanted to know if we could go test drive cars. Because I had made some comment earlier about test driving cars, like convertibles and stuff, and she actually believed me and now wanted to do it. I fained pregnancy overwhelmtion and got out of that one. Whew!
But on the way home we did stop at Starbucks for our yummo Frappochinos! Here’s Princess ordering our Double Chocolate Chip and Strawberry Fraps!
And finally we got picture happy.
Oh, before we got our Fraps we paid for the order for the car behind us. That’s just something we do around here. Well, unless it’s a guy by himself, then you don’t do it. Because if you did that he’d think you were hitting on him and then he’d write down your license plate and stalk you and you’d be dead! So when you pay for someone’s Starbucks make sure it’s not a guy by himself!
Anyway, here’s the car we paid for.
Sweet! Two people. That’s even more fun.
Here’s Princess paying for Starbucks with Hubby’s credit card. Hee hee.
And so Princess tells the lady we want to pay for the car behind us. And the lady says, “Ok, their order is $1.92.”. WHAT! Talk about a buzz kill! Oh well, we paid for it anyway and then Princess is so amazing she decided to leave a note for them. She wrote on a sticky note (because she’s amazing and has sticky notes and writing utensils in her car) and gave it to the Starbucks lady and said, “Will you give this to the car behind us?”.
Do you know what the note said? “Jesus paid for your sins on the cross.”
Painting our own coffee mugs: $50
Buying ourselves frappochinos: $7
Buying someone else’s coffee: $1.92
Time spent with Princess: Priceless
