Belle’s nap time = Missy’s nap time or Missy’s blog time?
Well of course it’s blog time. Although at about 7:00 tonight I’ll regret not taking that nap. I also usually include in the nap battle whether or not I should use the time to clean. If I were a smart person I would probably rotate days. One day nap. Another day clean. And another day blog. Honestly most days I choose napping over anything but I’ve been a little out of touch with blogland lately so thought I’d catch up.
Ok, that was so very random. Might as well continue with the randomness.

We had about 50 adults and youth over to our house yesterday. Let me tell you our house was not designed for 50 people all at one time. Thank the Lord it was a beautiful day and so most everyone sat in the garage (yes, we had chairs and tables set up) or just stood outside. We are in the process of hiring a Youth Director at our church and had a candidate visit this weekend, which included a get-together with the parents and youth. We were so pleased with the turn out. Us of little faith – we only bought enough food for 30 people so had to make a grocery run. Everyone commented how they appreciated all the work we did. But honestly it didn’t seem like work. Isn’t that how it is. When you are doing something you love and using the gifts God has given you (for us, hospitality) it’s not work at all, it’s a blessing.

I had the pleasure of having lunch with Hubby and Princess on Thursday. Unfortunately Hubby choose Burger King. Don’t get me wrong, my Tender Crisp Chicken sandwich tasted marvelous but it probably wasn’t the best thing for me. As Hubby and Princess were getting ready to leave Hubby said:
“Jesus is like a Whopper… He fills me up!”

Thanks for your thoughts on the Bradley Method. I feel at real peace that we should go that route. I emailed Hubby and told him about your comments and that everyone recommended Bradley and I think we should go with that. He emailed back and said, “Sorry, I don’t really like the name Bradley.” We’ve got a ways to go folks!

In addition to Belle starting to crawl or scoot or pull herself, whatever you want to call it, she also cut her first tooth last week! And yes, I did think about taking a picture for y’all. We’re trying to teach her “Ahhh” and to open her mouth but for the time being she won’t budge. It was weird because she was a very happy camper on Thursday and then Thursday night we saw it. Since then she has been very crabby, especially last night. Yikes. Poor baby. Then we have to switch up her schedule this week because our daycare lady is on vacation. So she’ll be with Grama Barb in the mornings and then Hubby for an hour over lunch and I’ll get off work about 1:00. When I dropped her off this morning she was very happy though because Grama bought an exersaucer thing and she was having a great time with her new toy!

Belle’s no longer a mama’s girl. She is the world’s biggest daddy’s girl. It’s so weird, it was almost overnight. She’s started to say “da da” and I think she actually knows what it means because I’ll say “where’s daddy” and she’ll look all around for him. And when he walks in the room or comes home at night, oh my goodness she freaks out (in a good way)! And then every time he leaves the room she has the worst crying fit, even if mama’s holding her.
Now I know how daddy has felt these first 6 months. It does my heart some major good though to see how much she loves him.

And then there’s the hair. As I mentioned here I got it cut on Friday. I’m still not entirely sure I like it. I didn’t go short short but it’s alot shorter than it was. And it’s still long enough to hang on my neck (and feel really hot) but too short to put up and actually look decent. I go back in a few weeks to get it colored so I need to decide by then what to do. I need to start counting my blessings right this instant that is my big dilemma for the day!

Well, I probably could have used half of these as individual blog posts and maybe I just will at some point. But for now, Belle’s still sleeping and so I think I have a little time to sneak in a cat nap. Have a great day!

Whew! I definitely feel caught up now. Sounds like you have a lot going on and could definitely use that nap!

Yeah, so chit chat is nice, but this is about the 5th time your stalker has checked in to see a pic of the new haircut.
Chicken.
