1. I can’t believe it’s Friday already. Ever since I went back to work full-time the weeks just fly by. That’s partially good because it means the weekends get here faster. But it’s partially bad because it means time is moving quickly past me and my kiddos are growing up too fast!
2. Belle is sick. She had 102 temp, cough, really lethargic, not wanting to eat or drink. We took her to the doctor last night and thankfully it’s just viral. But unfortunately that means there’s nothing they can really do, we just have to let it run it’s course. Hopefully it’s a short course. This might sound awful but one thing I do enjoy when she’s sick is all she wants to do is be held. I won’t complain about holding my baby girl all day.
3. Unfortunately it’s pretty icky timing with Belle getting sick. I have to work on Saturday from 9:00-3:00. I’m teaching a class we call Discovery Workshop. We help people discover their spiritual gifts, passions and personal style and then help them understand how it all fits together and how God wants to use them for His Kingdom’s work. It’s an awesome class and always alot of fun but it’s going to break my heart to have to leave a sick baby.
4. Belle’s new thing is pointing to our nose, eyes, ears and mouth and telling us what it is. She’ll also point to her toes, fingers and tummy when we ask. But she especially likes to touch other peoples’ noses and say “nose” over and over.
5. Not sure what the story is but when she came home from staying with my parents house she was saying “sit” all the time. Unfortunately it comes out sounding like a swear word. You can imagine how fun that is, all day long we hear her saying, “sit sit sit sit sit”.
6. I’ve come to love Craig’s List. I’ve heard of other people using it but wasn’t really sure of its benefits. Well last weekend I saw the light. I was able to get rid of lots of stuff we don’t use anymore and I think so far have made around $200. I probably priced some of the stuff a little too low but I’ll get better with that. It’s actually kinda creepy talking to complete strangers and giving them your address to come pick up something they want to buy from you. Maybe it’s just me but that creeps me out. I make sure to schedule pickups only when Hubby is home so he can protect me from any murderer type people.
7. My house is a complete disaster. I’m exhausted. My baby is sick. Hopefully my other baby doesn’t get sick. Hubby is having a minor procedure done tomorrow and will probably be on the couch for a few days. This ship is taking in water people.
So I’m going to take a bloggy breather for a few days. Normally I don’t get online on weekends and since I’ve started doing that I’ve felt alot less overwhelmed with other stuff. And it’s not that I feel I have to blog every day. I just really enjoy blogging. I find it somewhat therapeutic. But sometimes it’s therapeutic to step away too. And so that’s what I’m going to do.
Have a great weekend. And I’ll see ya when I see ya!
Oh ya. Don’t forget to head over to Conversion Diary to read more quick takes!

Hi Missy. So sorry that you have a baby not feeling well – I hate when my kids are sick. Your Discovery class sounds great! I hope you have a great weekend, hope Belle feels better soon and that you enjoy your bloggy break. Love you!
Leaving your kids when they’re sick is no fun, and it doesn’t get easier.
I hope she feels better soon.
Regarding #5: I promise I did NOT let your Dad say that other word around Belle! Maybe she was saying ‘sit’ because she would sit to read books with us, she would sit to watch the fish in the aquarium, she would sit to watch Dora, she sat on the buffalo, she sat on the horse………. hmmm, could be anything! Love you!
Hi! I stopped by from Quick Takes. I just LOVE Craigslist too, for the same reasons! But for safety, I too will not have anyone come by unless my husband is home. You can never be to cautious these days.
Our Ladybug does the same thing with pointing out body parts, especially the nose too! But it isn’t fun at 2am when she wakes up and wants to touch your nose (we co-sleep). Makes for fun stories to tell her future boyfriends, though!
