Day: May 30, 2008
Let me just start by saying, YUMMO!
The dizzyness has messed up my brain and I don’t even remember what day we went, but we did, oh yes we did, go to Sonic this week. And it was as marvelous as we expected…in fact more than marvelous.
So here we are driving up to Sonic. People, they had security guards walking around the parking lot. And it’s a good thing cause it was wild and crazy. Ok, maybe not but it sure was funny.
I was a little scared because he almost caught me snapping his picture. How bad would that be to get hauled away by the Sonic police?
The east side Sonic is by far the best because not only do they have a dude in roller blades (who was roller blading too fast for me to get his picture) but they have a condiment lady.
Ya, she’s walking around asking everyone if they need extra ketchup or mustard or napkins. The car next to us hadn’t even ordered yet and she asked them. This girl likes her job. Give her a week and she’ll realize being the condiment lady at Sonic isn’t as special as they told her it is.
Here’s Hubby drinking a real fruit slushy.
And here’s Hubby eating a tator tot. “Fries, onion rings or tator tots?” they ask. Uh, hello! We’re here for the tots!”
So we’re chowing down on our tator tots, sandwiches and fruit slushies, making fun of the security guards when the best song comes on the radio. And not our radio. The Sonic radio. Ya, another reason the east side Sonic is the best, they have music playing. And it’s sweet music.
Can you guess what song? I’ll give you a hint. We were going to ask the roller skating dude to do a little dance for us. Ok, I guess that’s not a very good hint.
Instead of telling ya, I’ll just show you give you a link so you can go hear for yourself. Young children should probably step away from the computer. 🙂
Doesn’t get much better than that folks. Rocking out to the oldies. Eating food that’s horrible for you but tastes really good. Making fun of security guards. Hanging with the Hubby and Belle. The only thing that would have made our dinner any better would have been if we were in the Jeep with the top off and if Princess and Prince would have been along.
Thankfully we have a whole summer ahead of us to enjoy the Sonic!
Oh but wait, there’s more. Here’s the other security guard as we left. She’s seriously wearing army pants and boots. Serious stuff here folks!
Actually, it’s probably not in the news because I would hope that if most people heard about this they would be outraged. Is nothing sacred anymore?
Colorado Governor Signs Dangerous Legislation
Dr. James Dobson, founder and chairman of Focus on the Family, issued this statement late today after Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter signed SB 200:
“Who would have believed that the Colorado state Legislature and its governor would have made it fully legal for men to enter and use women’s restrooms and locker-room facilities without notice or explanation?
“Henceforth, every woman and little girl will have to fear that a predator, bisexual, cross-dresser or even a homosexual or heterosexual male might walk in and relieve himself in their presence. The legislation lists every conceivable type of organization to which this law applies, including restaurants, bathhouses, massage parlors, mortuaries, theaters and ‘public facilities of any kind.’ Those who would attempt to protect females from this intrusion are subject to a fine of up to $5,000 and up to one year behind bars.
“This is your government in action. It represents a payback to Tim Gill and two other billionaires who have essentially ‘bought’ state legislators with enormous campaign contributions. Coloradans deserve better!
“And by the way, because of the way this bill is written, it is not subject to the initiative process. There is no recourse.”
When is enough going to be enough? When will men and women of this country who believe in the Truth of God’s Word stand and be heard? And I am not pointing fingers, I am just as much to blame as anyone for the moral decline of this country. Is it too late to turn back to the foundation this country was built upon?
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
If you’ve been praying for the Chapman’s you might want to stop by this blog. I believe he is SCC’s manager and has some very poignant posts, including an overview of the memorial service. Get ready for tears.
So many have been giving to Shaohannah’s hope in honor of Maria. I recently said to a friend, can you imagine how many babies will find their forever families because of Maria?
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.
p.s. The dizzy is gone! Thanks so much for praying!
